We Have Been Unable To See The Truth

Thoughts that run through my head while sitting down for a 3 am feeding.

Cardinals fans are great fans.  They aren’t the best though.  If I recall, in the 2004 World Series there were a ton of Red Sox fans that were able to score tickets to games 3 and 4 in St. Louis.  The best fans do not let their house go unguarded, especially during a World Series.  I went to games 1 and 2 at Fenway.  Do you want to know how many fans, not associated with the Cardinals organization, were there?  ZERO.  I’m tired of these stories.

Poor A-Rod.  He’s got more problems than Barry Bonds right now.

When the Seattle Mariners dump you your welcome in the league is officially worn.

This gives a whole new meaning to collecting fines for the kangaroo court.

The trade deadline is killing me.  The drama, most of it drummed up by the media, is worse than any hot stove off-season chit-chat.  Instead of  warm cider I’m reaching for the Tums.  One part of me wants to run the race with what you have.  The other wants to trade prospects for the D-Train.  If anybody is going to be traded to Boston is there a better choice?  The only option crazier is seeing Clemens come here.  Houston desperately needs bats.  Do you think they would like to see WiMo?  Other than those two there is no other player that intrigues me as “a guy who could help the Sox run away with things.”  My gut tells me we’ll see a big splash or a middle reliever.  Nothing more.  Nothing less.

What is worse is that the rumors themselves are terrible.  People keep bringing up Corey Lidel and Jon Lieber.  Ohhhhhhhh yes those names make me feel frisky.  However I saw this quote “ESPN baseball analyst Buster Olney threw out the possibility the Red Sox were working on a major deal involving multiple teams.” And it made me feel good for about 3 seconds.

Does anybody know what is going to happen?  I guess we’ll know on Monday and I’m counting on myself to have an opinion about it.
